BBC NOW Sir Karl Jenkins – Lament For Syria (world premiere)

Kathryn will be performing the world premier of Sir Karl Jenkins brand new commission ‘Lament for Syria’ for this year’s Swansea International Festival.  The lament is based on a poem by 13-year-old Betjeman Poetry Prize winner Amineh Abou Keresh, a refugee.   The Concert will take place on Saturday 6th October 2018 at Brangwyn Hall in Swansea.

The concert will feature Sir Karl’s ‘For the Fallen’ and Kathryn will also perform the epic ‘The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace’ joined by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC National Chorus of Wales and Abel Salaocoe (cello). http://www.brangwyn.co.uk/events/bbc-now-karl-jenkins/
